Nautical Landings with Digital Media Services

This one is a High def video production with my boys from Digital Media Services for vacation rental condos Nautical Landings  in Dunedin Florida.  Click on the video below.

It was a beautiful spring day in Florida that began before sunrise and ended after sunset.  Brian Satchfeild directed from behind the camera as Lance Robson and myself served in multiple rolls to make this production happen.  We used friends and family of the condo owners as talent and if you look fast you may even see Lance and myself appear in the video.  We used a Panasonic high def camera and a smith victor light set up.  For smooth polished movement we used a steadycam merlin, and a mathews doorway dolly.

Morikami Gardens Fashion Shoot

Morikami (21 of 26)

This goes back a few months.  I had the pleasure again to shoot with friend and photographer Robert Adamo for Palm Beach Media and their Palm Beach and Naples Illustrated Magazines.  We shot at the Morikami museum and Japanese garden in Delray Beach Fl.  It was very overcast in the mourning giving way to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.  We were outside the whole day and basically worked our way around the garden.  The gardens are beautiful and provided many beautiful settings in which to feature the model and clothes.  The garden was open at the time and we gained a crowed from time to time.

We kept the set up light to allow for freedom of movement.  We used one profoto B pack (which runs on a rechargeable battery)with a beautydish.  We had done a tech scout the night before and realized there would be no power available and unlike most situations we could not exactly run a gas powered generator in a zen garden while it was open.  So in order to shoot tethered to the laptop we had to find the closest apple store an hour away to secure more power.  Rob has since invested in one of those extended battery packs.  The day went smooth and there is even some video of some of these shoots at the Palm Beach Illustrated’s we site.
